Casting for MBC’s Horror Drama

Rookie actress Lim Ju Eun, age 21, beat out over 1000 contestants in an open casting call for the female lead of MBC’s upcoming mini-series Hon [혼 (魂); translated as Spirit or Ghost].

Kim Sang Ho (Hyang Dan, Fantastic Couple) and Kang Dae Sun (Auction House) will direct the Wednesday-Thursday horror drama set in high school about a ghost who was wrongfully killed and uses the body of Lim’s character to punish evil. Director Kim is currently negotiating hard for long-time friend Lee Seo Jin (Yi San), age 36, to star as a criminal psychologist.

Ex-Fin.K.L member Lee Jin will be playing as the male lead’s ex-girlfriend.

The drama will deal with current issues such as school admission. The first episode of Hon is expected to be broadcast on August 5 following Triple.

KP’s note: Her name is more commonly spelled online as Im Joo Eun; however, her cyworld address indicates that it is Lim Ju Eun.

  1. Wow, first project by LSJ for quite some time. E Jin here too. btw, isn’t that SNSD also supposed to be in some horror drama by MBC too.

  2. im so excited for that new LSJ drama.i miss him so much.cant wait to watch that horror drama. i already seen the drama freeze but its not that creepy that will let youre hair stand up.
