Ku Hye Sun Puts Tango On Display
Ku Hye Sun is displaying her art work from July 1 to 7 at La Mer Gallery in Insadong. The exhibition is called Tango, which is also the title of her recently published book. She is generously donating the revenue from the exhibition to YG Entertainment’s charity campaign, WITH.
Ku’s Boys Over Flowers colleagues, Kim Joon and Lee Min Ho, stopped by the exhibition in the afternoon of opening day to wish her well. She served as their tour guide around the gallery, explaining various pieces to them. It was her first public appearance with her costars since their promotional trip to Japan. Although they still keep in touch, Ku said that it has been difficult to get together due to F4’s busy schedules. “I think I’m the only one who’s unoccupied while they’re so busy. I just draw at home,” she said with a laugh.
Speaking to journalists, Ku reluctantly admitted that her role model is Leonardo da Vinci: “I’m embarrassed to say but my role model is Leonardo da Vinci. When I was young, I gained courage after reading a book called To Think Like Leonardo da Vinci. I learned how to try [hard] even if I’m lacking.” Although da Vinci is primarily remembered as a painter, he contributed to diverse fields of arts and sciences. This perhaps explains Ku’s wide range of professional endeavours – acting, singing, directing, writing, and illustrating.
Ku Hye Sun is currently working on a new age album to be released in the fall. She also admitted that she is preparing to direct her first long (full-length) film, but cautioned that it is still in the preliminary stage of planning.

That was really sweet of them to come by to show their support.
… But if she’s not busy and drawing at home all day, why didn’t she show
up at Lee Min Ho’s birthday party? The other F4s did…

such talent! this girl never runs out of things she can do — and excels in it! I wish i have half of her talent. At her age, she seemed more mature wen it comes to her craft, she’s so young and yet she has done so much. More than wat we might do in our lifetime ,, im so proud of her, i hope she becomes a good example for all the other korean artists of her time.

She is proving to be different from the other actresses of her generation. To have an art exhibit of her own at her age is truly amazing. I hope to see her continue with her plans to diversify. She is on COOL lady.
