Ricky Kim & Ryu Seung Joo Marry on a Monday
Actors Ricky Kim (28) and Ryu Seung Joo (32) were the first of many celebrity couples tying the knot this month.

On May 4, Ricky Kim (born Ricky Lee Neely) married musical actress Ryu Seung Joo at Seoul’s Sheraton Grande Walkerhill Hotel. They dated for approximately two years, after first meeting while working with Compassion, an international NGO.
Regarding the proposal, Kim said, “I chose a ring that I liked and ordered it from the States, but it wasn’t delivered in time.” Continuing on, he explained that he “had no choice but to cut out a picture of a ring from a magazine and put it in a case to go see Ryu Seung Joo where she was acting in a musical”. There, he went on stage and proposed on one knee with the paper ring.

Reverend Seo Jung In, who works for Compassion, presided over the service. Singer Shim Tae Yoon was the MC for the reception.
The two have postponed their honeymoon until August, when they will go to Peru for both the honeymoon and volunteer work.
Kim’s previous drama was On Air where he was Oh Seung Ah (Kim Ha Neul)’s friend, Aidan. Ryu is currently performing as Michelle Morris on stage in the musical, Dream Girls.

When I saw Compassion, it just clicked to Cha In Pyo. But then what a wierd day to married on Monday. Why not Sunday. Now I know what Son Ho Young doing. I saw his pictures this but I don’t know for what event. Does Hong Kyung Min had too much make up or is it lighting effect. Tim looks a bit chubby face.

I first saw Ricky on a cooking program but did not take notice of him T-T.. OMG~! i’m so late, saw him on Let’s Go Dream Team Season 2, i was LOVESTRUCK~!! then found out that he’s married and they had a baby on the show..his wife Ryu Seung Joo she’s so lucky he’s a hunk, so gorgeous~! i’m ooking forward to see more of him on Let’s Go Dream Team..I love Ricky.

I was gonna say the same thing… she isnt even a popular actresss and look at these photos she appears darker then him which is weird cuz she is korean. I dont think he deserves to be dating older women.. unless he likes that motherly role girls give him…….. 2 yrs dating? No wonder. He will fall out of love soon, they didnt even date long and she is older then him. Im so bitter i know -.- but hey maybe her face is natural, then perhaps she isnt considered that bad. 2 years of dating is too long. Either you know you’re in love and want to be together forever or you don’t. As for dating an older woman. there’s nothing wrong with that. Just because a guy dates a woman who’s older doesn’t mean that he’s looking for a ‘motherly role’. How ignorant and jealous can you be? As for her being “darker”, I think that everyone is forgetting that he is 1/2 American and that is why he is lighter skinned and she is darker. If he was full Korean then he would probably be as dark as her.
